Painting for Mindfulness – Online Seminar
Mindful drawing is about exploring mark making, intuition and being aware of the moment we are in.
It is a way of being, of seeing, on fully experiencing life in here and now. In mindful drawing or painting we focus our mind entirely on the creative process. The simple act of making marks on a page can help our busy, worried, stressed, overacting minds pause for a while and relax.
There is no sense of effort only enjoyment.
When our thinking minds are quieted, when we are totally absorbed in the process of mark making, something magical begins to happen: we become more aware of the world around, we become in tune with life itself.
And all this is open to you, you can experience the joy of mindfully creating too.
In this course we will learn how to draw inspiration from the world around us or from pictures, how to quiet our inner critic and pause our overacting minds, we will explore materials, tools and mark making and we will build a habit of mindfully painting and creating everyday, experiencing a state of relaxation and joy!
